To kill time on this hot Sunday, I decided to visit the botanical garden. Meteorologically speaking it was perhaps not the wisest decision as it was incredibly humid, after last night’s torrential rain, but so worth it. I went for its hydrangea collection, that charms me any time of the year, but I did not realise the lotuses were in bloom, too. I was in awe, I took several photos and spent a lot of time just admiring the flowers and did not even bother walking through the rest of the garden afterwards.
The botanical garden is in via Marchesetti 2 and is open every morning 9am-1pm and Mondays and Wednesdays until 5pm. Entrance is free.
I have been in a bit of a rut photographically speaking and decided to give more space to black and white photography, so I’m including some black and white images, which might not be the most obvious choice for flower photography, but I quite like them.
