Life goes on. Not long after my last post, Italy went into lockdown to try stop the spread of Covid-19. Within days we were told not only to stay home but we were also banned from doing any physical activity outdoors, which means my rural hikes came to an abrupt end. We, like most countries at this point, are only allowed out for strict necessities like grocery shopping or buying medication, so the few times I actually left the house I certainly did not take the camera with me.
But it’s springtime and nature is waking up regardless of the pandemics, and while trying to adjust to the new rules, I observed my garden and tried to capture its simple beauty. Because at the end of the day we don’t need to travel far to find pleasing sights. Noticing and appreciating these little things is very soothing.
