I could not end the year without taking a walk in my favourite places! Goodbye, 2017 – welcome 2018!
Some photographers plan their photographic trips… while I prefer to lug my camera around when I run errands and attend seminars that have got nothing to do with photography. 😉 I was in Ljubljana again on Tuesday and had a couple of hours to kill before the seminar in question.
I am not a fan of summer, but butterflies and other insects ‘enjoying’ summer in the garden are fascinating. The variety of species and colours is lovely. Lavender seems to be everyone’s favourite, but field flowers also attract an audience.
The traditional spring flower fair, ‘Trieste in fiore’, opened yesterday and will stay open until Sunday, 26th March. I go for the flowers, then get side-tracked by the dogs.
Fog swallows everything and makes you feel in the middle of nowehere. The already silent landscape becomes almost eerie, and even familiar sounds can startle you. What is still visible stands out even more.
